Description

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A suite of Rainmeter skins showing  a comprehensive list of overclocking related data including cpu/ring/ram/gpu voltages,  temperatures & power
draw, Core & Uncore clock speeds. Ratios & base clocks both stock and overclocked. Dram info, Cpu load & fan speeds. Set audible & visual alarms for voltages and temperatures. Show current bios settings for voltage modes & targets. Bios version and other Motherboard info such as chip-set data, board vendor and model. Most of the data is sourced from HWinFO & Cpu-Z.

Version 1.1 Released - Now has visual and audible warnings for Temperatures and Voltages that breach your specified thresholds.

Version 1.2 Released - Adds "In-Skin" customisation. No need to go to your text editor to change settings. Do it right inside the Skin.

You will easily be able to customise the following :-                                  (see some examples in my gallery) ----------------------------------------------->>

1.    The colors including the background
2.    The Image on skins
3.    The link to open when clicking on the image
4.    The text for the name of your GPU
5.    The text for the names of your fans

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

N.B. When re-installing or updating this skin the HWinFO.inc & user_settins.inc files will be overwritten.
These are the files which you may have changed to set the sensor id's or customise the colour/font/fan speed etc. It get's changed
by the "In-Skin" settings panels too. So if you have made changes  take  a copy before updating so you can either copy it back
or copy and paste the changes back in. (For the NON sensor changes this might not be such a big issue as the release of "In-Skin"
customisation means it's much easier to make the changes)

In ANy EVENT ..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will need :-

1.    Rainmeter (version 3.2 or higher)
LINK
2.    HWinFO www.hwinfo.com/
3.    CPU-Z www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.…
4.    This skin
5.    The Rainmeter plugin for HWinFO (which is installed with this skin)
6.    The HWinFO Shared Memory Viewer (which is also installed with this skin) . This can be run by clicking the HWinFO lcon on the panels
or manually from the @resource folder
7.    To update the sensor id's for any data not showing (see below)

N.B. Ensure HWiNFO's sensors are running and "Shared Memory Support" is enabled in the HWiNFO settings.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spinning Fans & Clock Speed Bars
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In order for the fans images to spin at an appropriate speed for your particular machine you will need to set the percentage of max speed that your fans
spin at idle.

Also you should set your maximum CPU & Uncore clock speeds to ensure that the bars showing this info displays correctly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Visual & Audible Alerts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can now set up alerts both visual & audible for Temperatures and Voltages.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Changing sensor values
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For instructions on how to add or change sensors see www.hwinfo.com/forum/Thread-Ra… or the Read Me.txt file in the
@resources folder (which is in the ...\users\yourUserName\documents\Rainmeter\Skins\OverClock folder).

N.B.
On my gaming pc most of the data on the Voltage\Temp\Power Panel comes from a sensor chip on the motherboard (a MSI Z97 MPower) called
Nuvoton NCT6792D. If this data is not shown you will have to search through the HWinFO Shared Memory Viewer to find if you have a sensor that
supplies this info. However it seems that not all machines have sensors for recording this. (On my Acer 7750G laptop there were no equivalents
so consequently no readings.)
I am hoping modern medium to high end motherboards that over-clockers use will have an equivalent of some kind. Feedback on what sensors work
and what boards have these sensors would be useful for others. I will start a list in the second comment post.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CPU-Z OverClock, Motherboard & Processor Panels
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no way to get information out of CPU-Z directly so in order to get at this data I have made use of the Html report that can be
created from CPU-Z itself. If you wish to use the CPU-Z Panels (they have the best OverClocking Info) please read the following .....

1. To create the html report run CPU-Z and click the triangle on the the tools button at the bottom of the form.
2. Click save report as .HTML
3. Rename the created report to cpuz_report.htm (Note you must remove the L from the extension).
4. Copy the renamed file to the @@Resouces folder (which is in the ...\users\yourUserName\documents\Rainmeter\Skins\OverClock folder).
5. Refresh or reload the skin and the data from the report will be displayed.

If you change hardware or change settings in the bios you will need to recreate the  report.

If you wish you can get this skin to update the report either manually or automatically as follows

To enable the manual refresh of the cpu-z report :-
1. Copy cpuz.exe to the @resources folder
2. In the CPU-Z settings Panel (which can be accessd by clicking the spanner icon on the CPU-Z Overclock Panel) set the Cpu-Z copied
    Switch to On.
3. This will display a refresh icon on the CPU-Z panels that will create a new cpuz_report.htm when clicked.
4. If the data doesn't refresh immediately reload or refresh the skin once or twice, it's a bit glitchy.

To enable automatic creation of the cpu-z_report.htm each time the skin is loaded or refreshed, copy cpuz.exe to the @@Resouces folder then
set ONE of the auto Trigger panels to ON (Ensure the setting refers to one of the panels you will be displaying). If you set more than one to
on the report will be generated multiple times.

Note: As the data comes from the report CPU-Z does not have to be running to display the data.

does not work anymore since the 7.0 update of hwinfo. Can work with hwinfo 7.0.2, but requires a complete rewrite of the code ... (no more need for the add-on)
